We agree the inputs, scope and review points with the project lead. The assignment can cover a mechanism, an assembly or its fabrication documentation.
Coordination with your team
Development follows your engineering criteria and interfaces with the rest of the machine. Decisions affecting the overall design are reviewed with the responsible technical contact.
SolidWorks, AutoCAD and technical documentation
I use SolidWorks and AutoCAD to prepare models, drawings, exploded views, bills of materials and equipment layouts. I can join at a specific development stage or review existing designs for manufacturability. Software versions, exchange formats and deliverables are agreed before work begins.
Remote and on-site collaboration
Most work takes place remotely, with site visits or stays for measurements, technical reviews and fabrication support when needed.
